AVTECH Software is pleased to announce that an update to the AVTECH Device Discovery Utility is available for download at AVTECH.com.
AVTECH Device Discovery v2.0.0 includes the following:
- Added a 'Device Recovery' feature to reinstall firmware on devices that are no longer responding on the network. Devices requiring firmware recovery will automatically be located on the network and users can simply follow the prompts to update the device to the latest firmware release.
- Added the ability to set the IP address of a device using its MAC address. This is especially useful for static-only networks as the IP address of the unit can be configured without requiring a cross-over ethernet cable.
- Added the ability to update the firmware on multiple devices at once. Simply select the desired devices from the discovered devices list and click 'Update'. The Device Discovery Utility will automatically update the firmware on all selected devices.
- Added the ability to open the web interface for multiple devices at once. Simply select the desired devices from the discovered devices list and click 'Web'. The Device Discovery Utility will open a browser window for each selected device and display the main 'Status' screen.
- Added the ability to open the settings interface for multiple devices at once. Simply select the desired devices from the discovered devices list and click 'Settings'. The Device Discovery Utility will open a browser window for each selected device and display the 'Settings' screen.
