AVTECH Software is pleased to announce that an update to the AVTECH Device Discovery Utility is available for download at AVTECH.com.
AVTECH Device Discovery v3.0.2 includes the following:
- Provided a workaround for users with Windows Vista that are using the 'Update' feature to update the firmware on their device. There is a known issue with the Java Runtime Environment that prevents the file browser from working properly on Windows Vista. Until a fix from Sun is provided, a modification was made to display a field so users can manually enter the path to the desired firmware file as an alternative to using the file browser with Windows Vista.
- Resolved an issue that could cause an error if network interface cards (NICs) on the host system are using IPv6 addresses. If IPv6 addresses exist, they will be filtered and the IPv4 addresses will be used instead.
- Resolved an issue that could limit the number of devices displayed in the list to fifteen (15). Now an unlimited number of devices can be displayed in the Discovered Devices list.
