Worldwide economic conditions over the last couple of years have significantly influenced the availability of embedded components, production schedules at manufacturing facilities, and final delivery costs associated with all IT products. To date, AVTECH has been able to manage around most supply issues and absorb additional costs by creating greater operating efficiencies within other areas. However, with the recent natural disasters that occurred in Japan and rising fuel costs worldwide that have increased delivery expenses for products both pre and post manufacturing, AVTECH has no alternative other than to make some adjustments to the pricing of our core products. To add even greater stress on supply, demand for AVTECH products is rising month after month.
"This is the first price increase for AVTECH manufactured products in our 22 year history," says Elizabeth Bartosiewicz, marketing manager at AVTECH. "We work very hard to eliminate pricing as a concern for our customers and emphasize that the investment made in AVTECH products is typically recovered the very first time our Room Alert or TemPageR monitors alert them about a condition so that disasters can be averted." Customers seem to agree because almost 40% of daily sales are from repeat customers and AVTECH enjoys an 86.6% renewal rate on the optional 'Maintenance Support & Upgrade Service' (MSUS) to keep licensed products under warranty.
