AVTECH.com Experiences Extended DowntimeDowntime Caused By Unexpected Hard Drive Failure
On Monday, September 24, 2007 at approximately 11:00AM EST, the server hosting AVTECH.com experienced a catastrophic hard drive failure resulting in the AVTECH.com website and email going offline. Although the failure was detected immediately and steps were taken to bring the site back online as soon as possible, the nature of the failure meant that the site was offline for an extended period of time. During this time, access to AVTECH.com was unavailable and email requests sent to AVTECH were returned to the sender. Access to other AVTECH sites at EnvironmentMonitor.com, RoomAlert.com, TemPageR.com and PageREnterprise.com were unaffected and remained available.
We are currently working with our hosting provider and our own IT staff to be sure an extended downtime event such as this does not occur in the future and we apologize to our customers, partners and prospects for any inconvenience this event may have caused.
