When I try to access the 'Settings' screen, nothing appears to load. How do I access the 'Settings' screen?
The 'Settings' screen of the TemPageR 4E, Room Alert 7E and Room Alert 11E units consists of a Java applet that accesses the device on UDP port 30718. To view the 'Settings' applet, Java software must be installed in the browser being used to access the web interface. Java software can be installed at Java.com. Next, verify that you do not have UDP port 30718 blocked on any device located between the system or server you are currently using and your unit. If this is the case, unblock the port and try accessing the 'Settings' screen again. If you are still having difficulty, please follow the steps below attempting to access the 'Settings' screen after completing each one.
Completely close the web browser you are using and reload.
Recycle the power on your unit.
Obtain your unit's Firmware Update file from the download section of AVTECH.com for that specific model. Save it to your desktop and DO NOT unzip the Firmware Update file if it arrives as a .zip file. Upload the file to your unit using the 'Update' button in the AVTECH Device Discovery Utility and be sure that there are no web browsers accessing your unit during the upload.
