SNPP (Simple Network Paging Protocol) text messaging allows text messages to be sent to a mobile device via a direct TCP connection to your service provider using SNPP. This method of sending text messages to mobile devices is much faster than sending text via a modem using the TAP Protocol. If you do not have the ability to send messages using SNPP, try a different method such as TAP Dialup or Email-To-SMS (Email-To-Text, SMTP, Simple Mail Transfer Protocol). You can easily access our TAP Dialup Database and Email-To-SMS Database for assistance in setting up either of these methods.
To use the entries in this database, enter the settings specified below for your service provider in the appropriate fields of your paging software application.
